Thomas Sheppard, Director of Admission

Tom came to Stevenson as Director of Admission in 1999 after serving for three years as Director of Admission at Trinity-Pawling School in New York. Previously, Tom spent five years as a history teacher, coach, and dorm parent at Perkiomen School in Pennsylvania. Tom earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and an M.Ed. from Lehigh University. Tom lives on campus with his wife, Jennifer, and children, Zachary and Olivia. He serves as a residential faculty member.
Jennifer Sheppard, Director of Financial Aid, Associate Director of Admission

Jennifer came to Stevenson in 1994 as Assistant Director of Admission and a residential faculty member. After three years at Stevenson, Jennifer headed north to become the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at The Urban School of San Francisco. Four years later, Jennifer returned to Stevenson as Director of Financial Aid and Associate Director of Admission. Along with her children, Zachary and Olivia, and husband, Tom, who serves as Director of Admission, Jennifer lives on campus and is again a member of the resident faculty. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College.
Sarah Kendrick Kline, Associate Director of Admission

Sarah's experience in the admission office at Stevenson began in July 2003. She served as the treasurer of the Western Boarding Schools Association from 2006-08. At Stevenson, Sarah has assisted with new student orientation, freshman retreat, camping trips, and has served as a faculty advisor. Prior to Stevenson, Sarah was the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at Le Mans Academy in Indiana. At Le Mans, Sarah was a board member for the Midwest Boarding Schools Association, and was active at The Culver Academies, also in Indiana. Sarah earned her bachlor's degree in communications from the University of Dayton, and has taken graduate business courses at Indiana University.
Kelly Holmes, Associate Director of Admission

Kelly joined the Stevenson team in June of 2006 after working as the Assistant Director of Admissions at the Knox School in Long Island, New York. Kelly heads the Green Key tour guide program and also enjoys working with the girls basketball and field hockey teams as an assistant coach. Prior to working in admission, Kelly lived in Boston, Mass., where she served as the Legislative and Policy Administrator for State Representative Susan Pope. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross where she also played varsity field hockey.
Kelly SanFilippo '90, Assistant Director of Admission, Lower & Middle School

Kelly is the Assistant Director of Admission for the Lower and Middle School. A graduate of Stevenson, she earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development from UC Davis and her teaching credential from St. Mary's College in Moraga. After teaching a second and third grade class at a rural school outside of Soledad, Kelly taught fourth grade at Stevenson Lower and Middle School for three years. She then taught sixth grade in the Seattle area. Kelly returned to the Peninsula and rejoined the Stevenson staff in 2005. She enjoys traveling, gardening, sports and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa Konetchy, Assistant Director of Admission

Melissa came to Stevenson in 2006 after three years of recruiting in corporate non-profit and for-profit environments. Her staffing industry experience includes Robert Half Intl. and Manpower. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, and an A.A. degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She loves traveling and trying new cuisines. Melissa also enjoys wardrobe styling, teaching Sunday School, and being an aunt.
Bernadette Sotak, Associate Director of Admission

Bernadette joins the Stevenson team in July 2008 after four years at Verde Valley School in Sedona, Arizona. Bernadette served in several capacities at Verde Valley, including Dorm Parent, the Associate Director of Admission, and the Director of Financial Aid. She attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Promotion. After college she worked in the NAU Admission Office as a Student Recruitment and Retention Specialist. Coming from Arizona, Bernadette especially enjoys the ocean and walking on the beach, as well as exploring new places, reading, off-roading, sewing, and Jazzercise.
