Step 1: Learn

Request a viewbook to begin your journey by reading about the program at Stevenson. You can begin your search for the perfect school by completing the inquiry form. We'll send you a viewbook, a Preliminary Application, a course catalogue, and our College and University Acceptance brochure to introduce you to Stevenson. If what you read seems interesting, then it's time to move on to Step Two.

Step 2: Apply

There are three simple ways to begin your application. The easiest way to apply is to apply online. Or choose option #1 or #3 below.

  1. Fill out a Preliminary Application: In the back of the viewbook we send you, you'll find a Preliminary Application. Return it to us along with the application fee, and we will forward all of the application forms you need. Or...

  2. Apply online: Fill out the application (the student must complete the candidate project and essay themselves), and click submit. You’ll be prompted to pay the application fee at that time. You’ll need to download the remaining pieces of the application. Or...

  3. Download all of the application forms from this site. When you submit the application, please be sure to include the application fee.

Stevenson's priority deadline is February 15. Stevenson will consider applications until enrollment is full, at which time students can apply for the wait list. After the February 15 deadline, interested students are encouraged to contact us to learn about possible openings.

Step 3: Visit

Experience Stevenson firsthand. Contact us to arrange a campus visit by calling the admission office at 831-625-8309 or by email at info@stevensonschool.org. Campus visits are available Monday through Friday when classes are in session. During your visit you will take a campus tour with one of our students, interview with a member of the Admission Office staff, participate in a class, and have the chance to learn about the programs that are of particular interest to you. In April, accepted students are welcome to return for a second visit that will include a half day of classes.

Step 4: Test

Register to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Applicants to Stevenson should register for the SSATand take the test anytime before February. International applicants may also submit a TOEFL or SLEP score, but must take the SSAT test.

Applicants to tenth or eleventh grade may also submit a PSAT score in place of the SSAT.

Step 5: Continue to Learn

As the year progresses, we'll send you invitations to our annual Open House, receptions in your area, and other events that will allow you to learn even more about Stevenson. We believe that the more information you have, the better off you'll be in your search for the perfect school.
