HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Fall at Stevenson is my favorite time of year. The weather is (typically) perfect, spirits are high because exams haven't entered our consciences yet, and an array of fun, diversely celebrated holidays are right around the corner!
It is so much fun seeing everyone's creative costumes. Each year my favorites are definitely the faculty costumes and the faculty pet costumes - I mean, look at Levi!
This year the faculty really showed off their costume skills and showed up the students, in my opinion. This year's winners were the Frickers with Mr. Fricker as a chef, Mrs. Fricker as Prego tomato sauce, and Emmi as pasta!
Students at Stevenson also really have fun with Halloween, and my friends and I assembled a variety of costumes (early 2000's Britney Spears, Georgie from IT, Janet from The Good Place, a cow, and the Tin Man and Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz). I think we made a great gang if you ask me.
Classrooms have candy, you get to dress up at school, and you get to guess who other people are dressed up as! Stevenson made Halloween one of my favorite holidays because of the fun everyone has and the sense of community that it forms - people learn about shared interests that they didn't know they had. That is why I love Halloween at Stevenson!
