Enrolled Student Checklists 2018-2019

Upper Division

Grades 9-12

March and April

  1. New and returning students explore the course catalog.
  2. New students and Stevenson grade 8 students request fall trimester team sports. Students and parents will receive an email from the Registrar with information and directions.
  3. All students request courses. Students new to Stevenson also sign up for placement exercises. Students and parents will receive an email from the Registrar with information and directions.
  4. New students and Stevenson grade 8 students and their parents are invited to participate in the Spring Orientation at the Pebble Beach Campus the morning of April 28, and the Spring Carnival in the afternoon. A schedule for the day is available here.

May

  1. All students must have appropriate medical insurance for the school year. Please review our medical insurance requirements.
  2. All students and parents review the summer reading requirements for English and History. The current lists reflect the reading for the summer of 2018.
  3. All students and parents receive a list of the courses they have requested for the coming year. This email will be sent by the registrar late in the month.
  4. All students make travel arrangements for the fall. If you are involved in a fall team sport, you are invited to the pre-season for that sport. The vacation travel planning page contains more helpful information. Please see the Calendar links on the right for addition calendars. A detailed schedule for the opening days is available by clicking here. 
  • New resident students who are not already on campus for pre-season must arrive on Monday morning, August 27.
  • New day students who are not already on campus for pre-season must arrive on Monday afternoon, August 27.
  • Returning resident students who are not already on campus for leadership training or pre-season must arrive on Wednesday, August 29, before 5:00 p.m.
  • Returning day students who are not already in the area for leadership training or pre-season should arrive in time for the start of school on Thursday, August 30 at 8:00 a.m.

June

  1. All students: Parent completes the required Post Enrollment Forms, due August 1. These forms can be completed online. Parents will receive an email with information and directions when the forms become available in early June.
  2. All students: Parent completes the required Magnus Health Forms. You will receive an email from the Health Center by early June letting you know that your child's forms are ready for you. These health forms must be completed by August 1. Students will not be allowed to move into their rooms or begin classes until all health forms are complete.
  3. International students: students' I-20 forms will be processed after enrollment forms have been submitted; you can expect to receive your I-20 in early June.
  4. New students: Parent completes the Transfer of Student Records form, and give it to your school as soon as the school year is complete. This form gives that school permission to send your records to the Stevenson School Registrar.
  5. New students who were enrolled elsewhere in 9th grade or higher during 2017-2018: After the end of the 2017-2018 school year, the parent prints and completes the appropriate Transfer Student Athlete Eligibility Form, located on the Athletic Eligibility Guidelines page.
  6. All students and parents review the 2018-2019 Academic Year Calendar and the Online Calendar for important dates. A link to the Opening of School Schedule will be posted here when ready.
  7. New resident students and parents review the Essentials for New Resident Students. You will also receive an email from the Dean of Students' office with instructions for completing the Advisor Questionnaire and the Roommate Questionnaire.
  8. New day students and parents review the Essentials for New Day Students. You will also receive an email from the Dean of Students' office with instructions for completing the Advisor Questionnaire .

July

 

  1. All students: Parent must submit the tuition payment by July 15. Information can be found on the Methods of Payment page. Questions may be directed to the Business Office at 831-625-8209 or business@stevensonschool.org
  2. Resident students, purchase dormitory furnishings and supplies for your dormitory.
  3. New boarding parents and students and day families are invited to participate in the Stevenson Companion Family Program. This program matches new boarding students with local families, to help ease the transition to boarding school and offer support, and is an opportunity for local families to get to know someone from another part of the country or world. To learn more about the program, please email Trish Collins at tcollins@stevensonschool.org or Laurie Fannin at lfannin@stevensonschool.org.

August

  1. All students: Post-Enrollment Forms and Magnus Health Forms are due August 1.
  2. All students order books on our online bookstore. You will receive an email from the Registrar in late July or early August with information and directions.
  3. All students: Parent submits a debit card initial deposit to the Business Office by August 15. This allows your student to use their student ID for on-campus purchases. Questions may be directed to the Business Office at business@stevensonschool.org or 831-625-8209.
  4. All students: make sure the student has a laptop for use at school.
  5. All students and parents receive information about the opening of school in an email sent in mid-August. A detailed schedule is also available here
  6. All students and parents receive information about accessing student schedules in an email sent a few days before the first day of school.
  7. New students and Grade 9 students: meetings with advisors and the Parent Reception are on Monday, August 27.
  8. New students and Grade 9 students: orientation is on Tuesday, August 28 and Wednesday, August 29.
  9. New students and returning students with new laptops: attend Laptop Bootcamp. The dates will be posted here when available.
  10. Classes begin on Thursday, August 30.
