Lucy joined the Stevenson community in fall of 2017 as part of the teaching faculty and as a dorm supervisor. She accepted coaching roles as head JV coach for both girls volleyball and basketball. In the 2018-19 season she took over as head varsity girls basketball coach and immediately made a huge impact on the program. With a young but talented group of players, she raised the competitive level of the program significantly while competing for a Cypress Division league title. Her first varsity team made the CCS playoffs reaching the semifinal game. In the spring of 2019 Lucy served as assistant coach for both the JV and varsity girls lacrosse teams. In the 2019-20 basketball season Lucy led the Pirates to one of the best years in program history including an undefeated Cypress Division season with a 10-0 record and an overall season record of 21-5. They began the season with a home win over perennial power Notre Dame of Salinas and never looked back. After cruising through the Cypress Division they advanced all the way to the CCS Division V semifinal game before their season ended. After an outstanding high school athletics career where she was recognized with the Female Athlete Award for outstanding sportsmanship, team play, and leadership Lucy matriculated to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where she played one year of varsity basketball and four years of club lacrosse.
