Anna Watson ’21 competed in the 1-mile race at the Athletic.net Virtual Test Meet this week. The event is a national competition created by Athletic.net, the service that tracks track and field performance around the country and has recorded PCAL and CCS results for over a decade. Verification of performance comes through a video or runkeeper app result. Anna currently sits in 15th place overall and 1st place in California.
Coach Provost is hoping to see other Pirates compete in upcoming virtual meets and has emailed entry information to all track athletes. Non-track athletes who would like to enter (events range from running 100 meters to 26.2 miles and also include softball throw and standing long jump) can contact Coach Provost for sign-up information. The Pirate Virtual Invitational starts on Monday, April 27, and concludes on May 1 - there are High School, Middle School, and Open (elementary school, parents, alums) divisions available.
