Varsity Boys Basketball Out Punches Pajaro Valley in Overtime
Luke Driscoll ’20 led the charge tossing in 34 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals in the exciting game in the Pirate gym. Benjamin Soria ’20 added 12 points and 8 rebounds.Sam Fontaine ’20 scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and sophomore Evan Johnson ’22 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.
In the game against Pacific Bay Christian the Pirates beat PBC 42-28. Luke Driscoll let the offensive attack with 17 points and 7 rebounds. He was supported by Sam Fontaine with 13 and Evan Johnson with 7 points and 9 rebounds. Dylan Santos ‘20 grabbed 11 rebounds for the Pirates in the win.
In their first league game the varsity boys defeated Seaside 76-53. Sam Fontaine scored 20 points while draining 5 three-point shots to lead the Pirate charge. Luke Driscoll added 17 points and 5 assists while Evan Johnson chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Connor Cosand ’21 8, Benjamin Soria 8 and Jackson Swette ’21 with 7 rounded out the scoring.
Boys JV Basketball Continues Its Winning Ways
The JV boys basketball team won its fifth game of the season over Pajaro Valley by a score of 65-25 in the Pirate gym. The high scoring Pirates were led in scoring by Peter Butler ’22 and Kyle McTamaney ’22 with 14 points apiece. Freshmen Trent Toole chipped in with 13 along with his freshman running mate Auden Forgus also with 13.
The JV also jumped over Pacific Bay Christian in Pacifica 50-22. Kyle McTamaney scored a season-high 27 points to lead the Pirate charge.
In their first league game the JV Pirates beat Seaside 58-28. Trent Toole ‘23 led the way with 16 points.
Girls Varsity Soccer Team Drops A Close Match to Pajaro Valley
Stevenson lost in the last minute to PV 2-3. Helen Yang ’20 scored twice and Lucy Lynch ’20 had 7 saves.
In a game against Dunn School the girls team dropped a 3-2 match. Helen Yang and Larkin Stephenson ’21 each scored a goal.
JV Girls Soccer Triumphs Over The Grizzlies
On a cold winter night in Watsonville, the girls of JV Soccer won 2-1. Laney Neugebauer ’23 scored her first soccer goal ever.
Pirate Girls Run Past Pacific Bay Christian On The Road
The Pirate Girls basketball team put on another strong effort at PBC winning 48-27. Kailey Clymo ’21 led the Pirate attack with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists with Rhea Cosand ’22 adding 11 points and 6 rebounds and Dana Diniz ’21 contributing 8 points in the winning effort.

Girls Varsity Basketball Wins First League Contest
The Pirates dropped King City 62-45 last Tuesday in the first league contest. Gaby Perez ’22 led the way with 14 points. Rhea Cosand added 10 points and Dana Diniz added 8 points. Kailey Clymo contributed 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in the win.
