What is the ratio of staff to camper?

We average a 6:1 ratio.

What is the price range for camp programs?

Camp programs run from $550 to $925 per week.

What is the schedule for Junior Camp?

Camp opens at 8 a.m. with free play on the playground. Camp workshops begin at 9 a.m. Campers should be picked up no later than 3:30 p.m. Late fees are assessed if a child remains after 3:30 p.m.

After Camp Care is available daily for an additional fee from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (with the exception of July 4 and July 27).

What is the weather like for this camp?

During the summer in Pebble Beach, the climate can vary greatly from dense fog to hot summer sun. The mornings are usually foggy, but the afternoons generally become mild and sunny. Normal temperatures range between 55-75°F (13-24°C).

What should my camper wear each day?

Campers should wear layered play clothes and closed-toed shoes. Flip-flops, crocks, or sandals are not allowed.

What should my day camper bring to camp each day?

Campers should bring a water bottle, two hearty snacks, and a lunch. If they are involved in the swim/play/study program, they should wear a swimsuit under their play clothes, and bring goggles, a towel, and underclothing. Surf camp participants should bring a swimsuit, wetsuit, and towel.

Are campers always grouped by age?

Classic camp participants are grouped in a younger group, grades 1 & 2, and an older group, grades 3 & 4. Premium camps, like Horseback Riding Camp, are a multi-age experience. If a Kindergarten Camper is developmentally ready, they may participate in Horseback Riding Camp, Swim/Play/Study Camp, or Surf Camp.

Can international students attend camp?

Yes, as long as they are fluent in English.

Is transportation available to and from camp?

Day campers can sign up for a daily bus for an additional fee.

How does a Stevenson middle-grade student apply to the Campers In Leadership Training program?

The Campers in Leadership Training program (CILT) is for students in rising grades 7 through 9. Successful applicants have a 3.5 GPA and have demonstrated strong leadership at the Carmel Campus. Carmel Campus students submit an application, interview with the camper director, and upon acceptance, register online. The CILT fee is $200 per week.
